Where the mountains meet the sea
Spend two or three nights exploring the protected coastline of Resurrection Bay and enjoy stunning views as you learn about this area’s rich natural history.
Day 1: Depart from the Seward Harbor at noon and set sail heading South into Resurrection Bay. Enjoy the views of the mountains towering on either side of this fjord while silently gliding across the water under sail. Anchor in a protected cove and set up for a late afternoon guided paddle in kayaks, zodiac cruise, or a walk on shore. Return to the sailboat for a delicious dinner prepared by our cook and an evening of relaxation on anchor.
Day 2: Enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast in the solitude of our anchorage before embarking on the day’s adventure. Hoist the anchor and slowly cruise along Resurrection Peninsula and take in the amazing geologic features as you search for wildlife. Catch the afternoon breeze and have lunch under sail as we make our way across the bay towards Bear Glacier. Head out for more guided excursions and return for another evening of good food and relaxation in another remote anchorage.
Day 3: Start the day off with a morning paddle after breakfast. Once back onboard, have lunch underway as we spend more of the day sailing. Take advantage of this time to learn the ropes or relax on deck looking for wildlife. Anchor in another beautiful cove for the evening, then go ashore to stretch your legs and comb the beach before dinner.
Day 4: On your final day of the voyage, take advantage of the custom nature of your itinerary by focusing on your favorite aspect of the trip - whether that is a morning kayak or zodiac cruise, or more sailing throughout the day. We aim to return to Seward Harbor by 4pm, but can adjust our timing to accommodate your travel plans.
